John McMeekin

I have been passionate about taking and looking at photographs for a long time.
I love the fact that you can capture a moment in time and that it will never happen
again exactly as it was when you pressed the shutter.

This page will show a selection of  pictures I have taken in a variety of situations
and locations, these are merely shots that I enjoy looking at for various reasons
and I hope you might like some of them too.

I will add new ones from time to time and generally keep the page active so that
it compliments the rest of the site. Feel free to comment on any of them if you wish,
use the “contact me” link.

This is Lochan a Ghurrabain in Aros Park, Tobermory' Isle of Mull, taken on a sunny August day.

Ben More Isle of Mull taken from Isle of Ulva looking over Loch Na Keal. The next day I stood on the summit.

Two boats isle of Ulva. The day was overcast but that brought out the colours.

This is Crail hafbour in Fife taken on a cold sunny November day.

Disused shipyard in St Monans, I remember when it was busy building fishing boats.

Musical Flowers.

This is the forecourt of a rather swanky hotel in Sorrento, I didn't go in, no jeans allowed.

These pillars in St Andrews remind me of a visit to Rome not that long ago.

Believe it or not this is the inside of a working men's club  in Sorrento.

A shop on the island of Capri, the big yellow things are lemons.

I love form and texture, this is a wrecked boat on the banks of the Clyde.

This is the island of Staffa, famous for Fingals Cave and these shapes. If you've not been, go its amazing.

This is Detail from the Science centre in Glasgow, a very photogenic place

Took me ages to get those pesky seagulls in the right place.

This is the Paddle Steamer Waverley, fond memories.
